Lingerie & Bra Sizing Guide
Over 70% of women in the UK are wearing the wrong bra. Here at Love In A Box, we want to make sure that doesn’t happen, even if it means we don’t have the right bra size for you. Below is our easy to follow guide to make sure you’ll never wear the wrong bra again. It helps if you can get a lover or friend to help with these measurements.
- Your underbust - measure around your body directly under the bust.
- Your overbust - measure around your body over the fullest part of your bust.
Now, take these two measurements and use the charts below to see what size bra you should be wearing. Unfortunately, we all know that we’re subject to change, so if you’re ever in doubt, measure yourself again.

Here are a few tips to ensure you’re wearing both the correct bra and wearing it correctly:
- When you put your bra on, lean forward towards your toes. This will ensure your breasts fill the cup correctly.
- The supporting band of the bra should fit snugly around your ribcage and back, but not against your soft breast tissue, and you should still be able to comfortably two fingers under the band all the way around.
- The band should be horizontal at the back and not ride up at all. If this happens, you should consider decreasing a size.
- The insert at the centre front of the bra should sit flat against your breast bone.
- Use a mirror to check that your bust is not overflowing the bra cup. If this is the case, you probably need to increase your cup size.
- The bra straps should sit firmly but you should not feel as if they are supporting your breasts.
- Also, please note that during your menstrual cycle and pregnancy, your bra size may fluctuate.
Briefs
Knickers are far easier than bras when it comes to fitting. Take a glance at our chart below and then order away!
| Brief size | Small | Medium | Large |

| To fit size | 8/10 | 12/14 | 16/18 |
